Women's Retreat: Oct. 12-13 2018

We all long to be home. But home is never quite what our soul wants it to be. Is it our identity? Is it a place full of nice things? Why doesn’t our earthly home satisfy our deepest longings? Join us for this year’s SPBC Women’s Retreat as we consider what God says about home and what home should mean to us.

Breakout Sessions to Choose From...

House Hunters

Are you looking for contentment in houses, things, relationships, status, or circumstances? And do all leave you unsatisfied? Come learn what God has to say about where our contentment should be found. We will be discussing how to have lasting, authentic contentment in Christ alone. Led by Natalie Glaser.

Curb Appeal

Are you struck with fear by the thought of trying to start a Gospel conversation with your neighbors? God has put each of us in a neighborhood for His kingdom purposes and not just for you to wave to your neighbors when bringing in the groceries. Come learn practical ways of spreading the Good News to your neighbors (and their children). Led by Jessel Newton.

Room By Room

Did you know God is always working on the “rooms” of your heart? Places you need to grow, places where you are weak, places where the world is tugging? Join us in a time of directed corporate prayer as well as a time of discussion based on what God’s word has to say about the rooms of our heart He is renovating.  Led by Jill Wachtel.

Property Sisters

Are your female friendships marred by comparison? By past experiences? By the busyness of life? Are your friends true, life-giving friends or just a list on social media? Join us as we look into the sometimes complicated world of female friendships and see how God’s Word should shape them and bring us joy. Led by Noemi Caison.

Welcome Home

Does the word “hospitality” make you think of Martha Stewart? Perfect Pinterest boards? The unattainable Proverbs 31 woman? Come and talk about simple, hands-on ways to open your home and life to others in order to love and care for them, no matter how small your home is or what kind of cook you are. Led by Carol Hernandez.
