THE WAY FORWARD (PROVERBS 1-9)

Read Proverbs 3:5-7 and think about your current season of life.

1. Where is the Lord calling you to wholeheartedly trust him right now?

a. Is there any area of your life where you are not acknowledging his presence, sovereignty, or authority (v.6)?
b. Is there are particular evil you should turn away from (v.7)?

2. How are you tempted to lean on your own understanding and wisdom?

a. What does this reveal about your view of God?
b. What does this reveal about your view of yourself ?

3. Can you remember a specific time when you leaned on your own understanding rather than trust in the Lord? How did that turn out?

4. How has the Lord given you proof of his:

a. Wisdom?
b. Love?

i. How should this help you to trust him today?

SUGGESTIONS FOR PRAYER

Praise God for his wisdom.
Confess ways that you have chosen the path of folly rather than the path of wisdom.
Thank Jesus, the Wisdom of God, who walked the path of wisdom for you, yet experienced
death, so that you could have life in his name.
Ask the Holy Spirit to help you trust in the Lord with all your heart.
