CHURCH PLANTS

IGLESIA BAUTISTA HISPANA GUILFORD

Planted June, 2006

Planting Pastor: Fredy hernandez

Planted back in June of 2006, Iglesia Bautista Hispana Guilford desires to reach Spanish speakers for the gospel. In order to do this they focus on God's word, discipleship, and prayer. They have three Bible studies (two on Wednesdays at 8pm and 1 one on Thursdays at 7pm) which meet at the Sterling Park Baptist Church building. There is also a gathering for middle and high school aged youth at 4pm every Saturday at the church.

Sundays, they have a prayer meeting that starts at 12pm as a church. Then at 1pm, they have discipleship groups for men, women, and youth. Their main service starts at 2:30pm with coffee and refreshments immediately following.

Additionally, their church leads a food pantry every last Saturday of the month, from 8:30am-10:15am. The food pantry gives out on a first come first serve basis. To get more information on the food pantry press the button below.

WINCHESTER BAPTIST CHURCH

Planted September, 2012

Planting Pastor: Tim White

On September 9, 2012, Winchester Baptist Church was planted by Sterling Park Baptist Church (Sterling, VA) which was planted by Capitol Hill Baptist Church (Washington DC).

Their desire is to faithfully reflect what Scripture teaches a church should BE and DO. At the heart, that means loving God (worship), loving one another (community), and loving our neighbors (mission) in Winchester and around the world.

They are pleased to partner with more than 50,000 other churches through the Southern Baptist Convention (SBCV) to help the needy, respond to disasters, train pastors, and plant churches around the world.

They meet at 10:30am on Sunday mornings at:

REDEEMER BAPTIST CHURCH

Planted October, 2016

Planting Pastor: Mike Godfrey

In early 2015 after nearly 8 years on staff at First Baptist Church of Waynesboro, GA (FBCW), God began to stir in Mike Godfrey’s heart a desire to plant a church. After seeking counsel through the leadership of FBCW, going through different assessments with the North American Mission Board and through a friendship with a church planter and city missionary in the DC metro area Mike was put in contact with the pastor of Sterling Park Baptist Church (SPBC), Mike McKinley. SPBC was looking to plant more churches both in the DC Metropolitan area and in different countries. After meeting with the leadership of SPBC, Mike Godfrey came on staff as a church planting resident in the summer of 2015 to prepare to plant a church in 2016. Redeemer Baptist Church is that plant. They began gathering in September and covenanted as a church on October 30th, 2017.

They are a church plant supported by networks and churches laboring to display the gospel in the Gainesville-Bristow area of Northern Virginia. They would love for you join them!
