Brandon Borkholder

Ushers and Ordinances

Brandon grew up with rural Indiana in a Christ-loving home, being saved at a young age. He met his wife in high school and moved to Virginia after college where he works as a software developer. He and his wife Emily have three young children. They started attending Guildford Baptist Church in 2009 and SPBC since then. In his free time, Brandon enjoys working on personal software projects or home renovation projects.


Carol Hernandez

Women's Ministry

Carol was born and raised in Miami, FL. She came to a saving faith in Christ at a young age. Through God’s gracious provision of a Christian school, her teachers’ influence, and a believing mom she grew in her faith. She graduated from Texas Christian University in Ft. Worth, TX. In 1986 she married Mark, the witty artist, whom she met in the college cafeteria. They moved to the Washington D.C. area in 1988. In addition to being a homeschooling mom, she has enjoyed mentoring and encouraging young women in God’s word since 1997. Carol and Mark are blessed with a son, a daughter-in-law and a daughter. Carol loves being creative, having God-centered conversations with fellow travelers at the dinner table and growing alongside Mark. She and Mark have been at SPBC since the fall of 2013.


Brittany Nicotra


Brittany grew up in a small town in northern PA called Coudersport. She attended college down in Lynchburg, VA at Liberty University where she graduated with a B.S. in Athletic Training. She met her husband, David, there. She now works at the Jackson Clinics in Merrifield as an Athletic Trainer.


Linda Sallee


Linda was born and raised in Mississippi. She became a Christian at the age of 9 at a girls mission camp. She attended the University of Southern Mississippi where she received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in nursing. Linda has had the opportunity to work in many areas of healthcare and works today as a consultant to hospitals. Linda met her husband of 41 years, Glen, at church in Biloxi, Mississippi, where he was stationed in the Air Force. They raised their two children, Jason and Jennifer, primarily in Birmingham, Alabama. She has remained active in church through their various moves and has had many opportunities to assist in ministries such as working with the deaf, teaching children, and the missions organizations. She joined Sterling Park Baptist Church 1.0 in 2005. Linda enjoys reading, traveling, working in the yard, and playing games on her iPad.
