Adrian Samson grew up in Dubai, UAE, in a nominal Christian home. By the grace of God and through the evangelistic efforts of the local university Christian fellowship, he saw his need for Jesus' salvation and became a Christian at the age of 16. Having been a musician for several years, Adrian began serving on the church music team by age 19, and has served at every church he has been a member of ever since. He majored in marketing, and has co-owned a small business services company in Dubai as well. Since moving to the US in 2015, Adrian discovered a passion for the culinary arts, in which he dabbles from time to time. Adrian married his lovely wife, Kaia, in December 2011, and in August 2018, they welcomed a beautiful baby boy, Henry. They live in Herndon, and have been attending SPBC since June 2015.
Amy is a native Virginian. As a child, she attended church weekly with her family but most of the teaching there was based on living a life of good works to be accepted by God. At age 12 she went to a summer camp where she heard the Gospel clearly for the first time and became a Christian. Amy graduated from UVA in 1997, and then lived in South Florida for several years where she went back to school for a teaching degree. She moved back to Virginia in 2000, and met her husband Josh. They were married in 2005, and now have 3 children. Amy was an elementary school teacher for 8 years before becoming a mom, and then for 5 more years as she homeschooled their children. Now she enjoys volunteering at the kids' school, playing games with her family, taking long walks in the woods with her dog, and baking.
