Latest Building Project Update

We currently have over $3.0 million in the bank or pledged for the project. This is more than we had initially hoped to raise, and we thank the Lord for hearing our prayers. The generosity of God’s people is so very encouraging.

The current reality is that inflation has necessitated some changes to the building design. Construction costs are high and the cost of borrowing money is going up. While our architects have done a great job of putting together a somewhat simpler design, the projected building cost has increased to about $5.9 million (including healthy contingencies). This creates a gap of about $1.4 million between what we have on hand and the amount we need in order to secure a more comfortable loan.

This leads to the main action item: we are asking folks to consider giving towards the $1.4 million that is needed to close this gap.
